I have to say, email list building is probably the single best sales method of all marketing strategies online. I truly believe that every Internet marketer has heard of listbuilding, in one way or another. But, what they don’t know is how to apply their list building techniques well enough to turn their subscribers list into cold hard cash.

Most marketers just fall short in incorporating the right list building strategies for their online business. You see, there is a flaw with the mindset of most online marketers today; the bigger the list, the more money they’ll actually make.

But having a huge opt-in mailing list is really only half the equation. What you really need is a responsive email list. Learning how to nurture and treat your optin list so they will become responsive to your e-mails should be your primary goal. Focusing on this simple fact, your opt-in list will grow naturally. Keep in mind, implementing the most effective list building techniques, you can cash in, even with a small list.

These sales strategies, given to you in this blog post, will be helpful for any marketer, newbies and gurus alike. Once you’ve mastered in applying these list building tips, you’ll be able to sit back as you watch your subscribers grow.

First and foremost, you need to give to all your prospects an equal importance and respect, as they all are people just like you. Keeping this idea close to heart will go a long way with your prospects.

Create Your Website

In this day and age, there are plenty of programs that will help you get your website started and maintained very easy, usually with just a simple click of a button. Someone with little or no programming knowledge can easily create their own website in no time flat.

Just about every on-line marketer has their own blog, this an important step to listbuilding. You need a way to funnel all your traffic to a centralized location. Having a blog is a perfect place for your prospect to know, like, and trust you.

Set Up A Freebie

You need to set up some sort of free offer. This will be used as an exchange for your traffic’s name and email address. Free offers can be in the form of reports, free software, discounted offers, and any other free downloads. I have even seen some Internet marketers go as far as to ship $1000 products to their subscribers, absolutely FREE. This specific marketing strategy is not for any newbie to try. But once you start making some real money, I always recommend giving away your BEST product for FREE.

Sounds a little backwards, but remember your goal: You want a list of LOYAL customers, that will buy from you time and time again. What better way then to give them something they will LOVE? The rule of reciprocity goes a long way.
